Are you going to answer my question? If we had indisputable proof, would conservatives back Moore? What do you think?
We’ve got a President that says you just grab women by the pussy, and you and others support him. Or is that different?

Funny, you defend it all, you support the President, but when I quote the president, those words are somehow offensive to you. That’s what’s classy.

Wait, I'm coming at this late I know but I'm extremely confused. Legitimately.

Robert, are you saying that if he tried to have sex with teenagers and failed to actually do so that he is just an oddball and not actually immoral? Maybe I'm missing something in your argument? I don't want a guy who hung out around malls trying to pick up kids to be a Senator regardless of whether he actually molested someone. We agree on that right? Because from the past several posts I read it seems like maybe you don't agree? Not trying to start an argument again, but I'm genuinely flabbergasted.

Also, it seems to keep coming back to "he's conservative and you liberals are blinded by partisanship." I don't buy that. I have said here that if a progressive candidate were accused of the same thing, with the same evidence, there is zero chance I would support them. The closest recent analogy I can think of is Ed Fitzgerald. Ohio Dems abandoned him en masse after it came out that he was in a car with a woman who was not his wife at 4:30 am. The GOP jumped all over that, screaming from the rooftops that he was immoral and unfit to be Governor. This, even though it was one allegation of infidelity, and no crime was committed. Surely, not up to the level of child molestation. Yet, he lost in a landslide to an unpopular (at the time) incumbent. Ohio voters decided that there was enough smoke to suggest that, at the very least, this guy was a bit sleazy and maybe didn't deserve to be Governor.

I didn't live in Ohio at the time but my reaction was "come on Dems, you have to run better candidates" not "well you should all elect this guy anyway because John Kasich is an evil Republican." So I do think we come with a fundamentally different view of partisanship here.

Better, IMHO, to be more specific. Has more meaning to the recipient.

Agree as long as you know for certain and get it right. If I’m at church or know the person I say “Merry Christmas” or “Happy Hanukkah” to our friends last Friday night. If I do not know the person I wish them “Happy Holidays” - better to get it right than assume and get it wrong.

Another ho-hum day where the former White House senior strategist and key member of the administration refers to Trump Campaign actions as "treasonous and unpatriotic" and insists that there's criminal money laundering taking place.

https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2018/jan/03/donald-tr...

I bet I can guess what the reaction to this on the right will be. They'll continue to spout garbage about the "deep state" and accuse law enforcement of colluding against the President (like this: https://twitter.com/Jim_Jordan/status/948567146279374849 ).

Also, apparently Eric Trump thinks Ellen Degeneres is a part of the deep state.... or something like that.

Ignorant and racist. What is most astounding is he has no idea what he is talking about. I bet he thinks Africa is like a Tarzan moving and those immigrating are wearing lion pelts. So amazingly dumb - especially for a stable genius.

Putting aside how downright sad it is that we have a President who has such opinions, it's always hilarious to watch how the Right rallies together to respond to things like this.

It's particularly fun on a day like today, where the official party line's yet to be established. It's gonna be really fun to learn whether the official party line becomes "Finally, a President who isn't too PC to insult the less fortunate" or "He never said that. Fake News."

Looking forward to finding out.

We have our answer:

https://twitter.com/realDonaldTrump/status/95181321629170...

A flat denial. He should probably let the White House officials who spent last night and this morning defending the quote know that he never said it. This denial now becomes an accusation that Senator Durbin, who was present, is lying.
