For those on here who are concerned about the cost to attend I found a database that calculates by income bracket the cost to attend colleges. Ohio doesn't fare well compared to its state tiers.

https://www.tuitiontracker.org /

Sticker Price for one year attending on campus.

Miami Univ. $34,499
Ohio $30,764
Toledo $28,932
Ohio State $28,664
Cleveland St. $28,445
Cincinnati $28,150
Kent State $28,019
Bowling Green St. $27,021
Akron $27,697
Wright St. $26,512
Youngstown St. $23,928

Net price for students for families in the 48k-72k

Miami Univ. $24,120
Ohio Univ. $23,707
Kent State $20,889
Cincinnati $20,810
Bowling Green St. $19,659
Akron $18,915
Cleveland St. $17,959
Wright St. $17,848
Toledo $17,642
Ohio State $14,645
Youngstown St. $14,436

I would note that Ohio State is $9,000 a year less to attend than Ohio and that is why its a no-brainer decision to attend there for those in the 48k-72k income bracket.

Wow. Shocking. I figured that Miami would be ridiculously over-priced, but I'm sad to see that we can't be more competitive on cost.

Not only are we less competitive, what is OUr value? We’ve lost the one thing we had going for decades

Those numbers for OUr university seem a little high. My daughter started at Ohio University in Aug. 2017 and graduated May 2021. Either I was oblivious to the price tag of her four years in Athens or there has been a substantial increase since just last spring.

Well I just typed in some colleges; public and private and found the prices a great deal higher on the Tuition tracker site. Perhaps, they consider a great many expenses not posted on traditional sites. There are a couple of elite Ohio private schools that are $20,000 more a year on the Tuition tracker site than listed on the college or university's site.

Whatever the case, as Alan has said many times before, we need to have a concentrated marketing plan and focus on those students who fit the profile we are trying to reach. As far as public schools, it would seem Cincinnati has been the gold standard. Their apprenticeship program which promises a job upon graduation is sure welcomed news to graduates and their parents!

Bobcatsquared has NEVER been oblivious to a price tag.

And to think I was going to offer to pick up the tab for the Marshall pre-game dinner and drinks Wednesday night.
