Good editorial on the case against legacy admissions. I could have gone to Whatsamatta U on legacy. My dad would always say that was his Alma Mater.

Very curious how much of the value at a place like Harvard is access to networks and how that would be impacted by eliminating legacies.

I expect that schools will see a significant reduction in alumni donations. A lot of checks are written so Chipper and Missy can go to Mummy and Dad's alma mater.

I agree. I read an interesting letter to the editor in the WSJ that said if you're a private institution and still want to take legacy admissions, fine. Just don't accept any state or federal money. See how that would play out.
