I still can't believe we are trying to pull someone from Marshall to be our President. One of the worst academic institutions in the history of higher education in the United States of America.
I'm sad and disgusted.
Also, Alden was the best President the university has ever had. I would say McDavis was 2nd. Beyond that, it's not even close. The ones crapping on Alden's reputation probably thought Ping and Glidden were the top of the heap.
Marshall. Man. Unreal. So sad.
I guess it is all relative when judging academic institutions? I thought you might be interested to see what a former Ohio U student and basketball player, Sean Jackson thoughts were about attending Ohio U for one year. I believe Jackson was a graduate of Huntington Vinson High in Wayne County portion of Huntington. I guess it is easy to look down on any college? An Ivy League school wouldn't accept any credits from Ohio U, I find that interesting.
After your freshman year at Ohio University, how did you end up transferring to Princeton?
My thought process during my freshman year at Ohio U. was not so much "Man, I got to get out of here" as much as it was "I wonder what it would be like to be involved in a setting that prioritized academics." Coming out high school, my only thought process was to go to a school that paid for college. I applied for transfer to Princeton shortly after the season ended and found out I was accepted in August - one month before classes started. I entered Princeton as a freshman because the school didn't accept any OU credits. Princeton was the only school I inquired about.
