Well we've come full circle from years gone by. The coach hands his list of potential recruits to the booster organization and they negotiate what it takes to get the kid enrolled. Only difference - it's now perfectly legal.

It’s always gone on in some form or another. The next step is they will be employees.

And that step will be the death of Olympic and many women’s sports IMO.

The the question remains, how far does it trickle down - high school? junior high?

I don’t know that they’ll come up with a good solution, but Congress is looking into NIL legislation. Anyone keeping up on how that’s going?

It already has. Some of the local AAU teams are sponsored by Adidas and Nike and that coach is getting compensated and using that money to attract top talent. Then steering those players to Nike or Adidas colleges. NIL has likely watered that practice down, but that was going on 20 years ago.

Hate to tell you this Al, but it's already in High School in 29 states, including Kentucky and PA bordering Ohio. It will be here within 5 years is my prediction.

I almost put that in my post (high school) but was more interested in effect and showing how crazy this has become.
