Can someone please help me.  My boyfriend goes to school at OU and he has 6 classes left to graduate and he said his academic advisor told him he would have one semester left (presumably fall semester that started today).  According to site fall sem goes from Aug 27 to Dec 15 and then break and then when classes resume it is spring semester.

At what point from Aug 27 to Dec 15 do the "classes change"?  If he is in 4 classes right now and has 2 left one can only assume that the other 2 would be in the 2nd half of that time frame.  The website is not real clear and my BF himself is confused about the semester system and cannot answer these questions.

Can anyone please explain?

Thanks!

To my understanding, they wouldn't.  When was the comment made -- is it possible the adviser would've meant one *more* semester (after this one)?  I would think that would imply he'd be in for the full school year -- 6 classes in one semester would probably be quite a tough task.

If he is registered for four classes in fall semester, he would have to take the remaining two in the spring, unless he can miraculously pink slip into the remaining two. That would require that there are classes that don't conflict with what he is already taking.

That was the bad news I was hoping to not get.  Two classes left and now he has to wait another 6 months due to this new system.  His advisor told him those 2 classes were not offered this semester so he will have to wait likely.
