This is what their logos and trademarks should be.I wholeheartedly support the franchising...... The one on the drum......I am not going to share with him that he is probably a beat off.

More ramblings from the guy who needs to get a life.  Saw this decal again the other day.

www.buckeyecorner.com/style/Moveable-5x7-Decal/20412081  Ugh.

Also, my wife stumbled upon this not long ago: www.osu.edu/O-H-I-O/   Sickening.

And for what it's worth, Homage.com is STILL selling the grey shirt with "OHIO" in red block letters.

Anyway, what I really wanted to write was an update on the black Adidas shirt with the "The Real O-H-I-O" design.  Through Facebook I asked Uptown Dog, Universitees, College Book Store, and Follett's why they don't carry it.  Uptown Dog, no reply.  Universitees said they only carry shirts they make.  College Book Store essentially said they don't carry Adidas stuff.  Follett's said they had the shirt but only while it was offered to them as a one-time promotional item during last year's Sweet Sixteen.  So, if you want one, search the web (I just found another one in my size on eBay) and get 'em while you can.  I did suggest to each store that they should create their own version of this theme and perhaps expand it to bumper stickers or window clings, but I'm not sure if that would be infringing on an Adidas copyright somehow.

RPO, are you sending all of your finds relative to improper use of Ohio in an athletic context to OU Legal Affairs Office?  If not, please do.  I've communicated with them in the past on these matters, and they always seem to appreciate the heads up.

OhioCatFan, if you can give me an email address I'll do just that, but I'm not too hopeful anything will come of it based on past results.  Apparently using "O-H I-O" instead of "OHIO" on t-shirts is one way for Nike et al to circumvent the issue.

I did get this from Follett's Bookstore the other day:

"I wanted to let you know that we are going to be able to sell "The Real Ohio" shirts again, but they will not be Adidas. We will probably be getting them in sometime in late Summer or early Fall. We are all excited about having this logo back again!"

RPO:

I believe that this is the lady I corresponded with before:
Deputy General Counsel

However, you could go to the top and send it to the head of the legal department:
General Counsel
