I know you love your Ohio University Bobcats. With that being said, please give me honest answers and do not let your love for your university get in the way of the truth. Thank you :)

I am looking at Ohio University online MBA program with concentration in finance. I currently live in Western North Carolina, but, might be moving closer to family in Cleveland Ohio.

Is there a lot of Ohio University alums in Cleveland? I believe you guys are 3.5 hours from Cleveland and I know my university which is Florida International (Go Panthers) and our alums do not have a high alumni presence 3.5 hours from campus. Is there a big Ohio University presence within the business world in Cleveland Ohio?

What is outsiders that are not part of the Bobcat family thoughts on the quality of education from Ohio University as a whole and the college of business specifically. Have any of you heard anything good, bad, or indifferent about your MBA program?

I would say that the greatest concentration of OU alums is in NE Ohio.  Heck there's even an active Cleveland Green and White Club.

And a specific link to Cleveland:

Have you been to Cleveland in the winter? You may want to do that before you move there. It's not for the weak.

Ohio university's College of Business is highly rated. The Executive MBA program is very good.

I completed my Undergraduate Degree in Business at Ohio University. The perception is very good around the state for my degree. I can honestly say that I had to work very hard while in Athens, and that the education I received is very relevant to my daily responsibilities as an Account Manager.

In short: by going to Ohio University I received a paid Fortune 500 internship and a job before graduation. Many of my Bobcat peers have had similar results.

The Ohio Alumni connection is something that will benefit you in Cleveland. The company that I work for is based there, thus I have the chance to meet many Bobcats while doing business. There is an instant rapport amongst Bobcats, and many associates you have in Cleveland will have Ohio degrees.

Hope you like up there. Be sure to go to the West Side Market as well as Flannery's Pub (the meatloaf is great). Hope my response was useful, best of luck to you.

I have not accepted OU's offer as of yet, I am weighing my options from other universities as well.

If they are not Harvard, Stanford or Penn, I think the choice is clear.

I'd add Northwestern's Kellogg school of business.

Why did you leave off the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago?  It's #1 on a lot of lists for the MBA degree.

I am on one of many MBA forums and one of the sub-forums is calling all applications for different years. The Ohio State sub forum says and I quote "Fisher (Ohio) Class of 2016 Calling all applicants!"
