Aerial America is a program I was unaware of until recently on a network, Smithsonian Channel, I didn't even realized I had until only a few weeks ago. In a short time, it has become must-see TV for myself and my 8-year-old son. It is a series of 1-hour documentaries on our 50 states shown sporadically (no set day of the week or time that I'm aware of).

My son and I caught the one on Ohio a few nights ago and to our surprise, the first five minutes focused on Ohio University. The bird's-eye view showed Court St. during a homecoming parade and the narrator spoke highly of the Marching 110.

o$u got a few minutes about 20 minutes in with the narrator mentioning tatoo-gate.

Check out Aerial America if you get the chance - a very interesting look at each state's history, geography, resources, important cities, people, etc. . .

I agree. I set the DVR to record this, and hold it for a slow TV night. If you're thinking of traveling to a state, it's almost must see TV to consider some destinations.

It's a great program. I've seen several episodes. I haven't seen the one on Ohio. I saw the ones on Alaska and Hawaii and West Virginia.

I like to watch them while I work out. I'll be sure to catch this one.
