Do any of you guys know anybody who ever worked there?

If so, did they have any interesting things to say about it. Such as...

My Uncle was a GS-18 there until he retired in 1978. Many stories.

I spent the better part of 8 years working on or around Wright-Patterson AFB, first as an Air Force officer, and later as a civilian contractor. This included a 2 year assignment with the Foreign Technology Division (now the National Aerospace Intelligence Center), which was the organization charged with collecting and analyzing UFO reports from around the world, and evaluating any technology implications.

During those 8 years at Wright-Patt, I don't recall ever hearing rumors or discussions of alien bodies or spacecraft being held there, and the classified reports that I saw (Project Blue Book) have long been declassified, I believe, and contained no reports of such. This is not to say that super-classified objects could not have been held there, but the physical security measures to protect such objects and information would have been visible and obvious, and would have been noticed on a base where security is part of the culture.

In fact, I never heard these stories at all until after I read the science fiction novel, Hangar 18, in later years.

And the USAF officers mistook a weather balloon for a UFO.

Yeah, that's the ticket. My wife Morgan Fairchild said so. Who I slept with.

It's rumored that this guy was seen a few years ago in Athens, Ohio, at #13 Fest, and then retired to his home in that hanger at Wright-Patterson:

Been a while since we discussed chem-trails here also. I'm ready for a refresher.

And I have a family member working at WPAFB, and have heard a couple interesting stories.
