A good friend - Swank knows as UTDoug - owns a boat and has had it docked at Buckeye Lake for over 2 decades. Looks like this recreational past-time won't be available this summer and several more summers to come. With little to no boating for the next several summers, the restuarants/bars around the lake face a huge downturn in business. Can't see how they will survive.
My one problem with the situation are the home owners, over several decades, have built on this earthen damn and proclaimed it to be private property, posting signs for no trespassing. Now that it will be a $100 million-plus repair job, these same owners are now going to ask the tax payers of Ohio, the same ones they asked not to trespass on "their property", to pay the repair bill.
