I believe over the years some on this board have mentioned enjoying going to the Wild Horse in Pomeroy to eat, observe the boats on the river, etc. It experienced some major fire damage early this morning. Here's to hoping they are able to return to business at some point in the future.

Maaaannnn.... I hope they are able to get everything repaired and back to business. They had a great spot with really good food.

My wife talked with the owner, a personal friend. She says it's covered by insurance, and that they plan on rebuilding. Do not know the timetable.

The business according to all articles I’ve seen was transitioning ownership

Not sure what you saw; perhaps, that the current owner inherited it from her father.

Articles in the Daily Sentinel, the death of the owners was several years ago.

My wife is from Meigs County, and we've eaten there a couple times. A pretty cool place. Unfortunate news, but hopefully the business will recover.

Right, and the daughter inherited the business.
