While I'm sure some folks are thinking, "Just throw the football" - I applaud Joe Burrow and others for speaking out.

"Just throw the football" comments are like hiding your head in the sand. Good for Joe.

One of the best reactions to the current unrest came from someone, Killer Mike, I've never heard of. A quick search told me he's a rapper/activist.

It's going to be 2016 all over again in the NFL, only this time it can't be just an issue for African Americans. There has to be a change in mindset throughout this country. It's not just police, as we saw in the Ahmaud Arbery killing. And it's not just racial. A few years ago I saw a black woman berate a Moslem woman in a CVS store and tell her there's no place for her in the US. Given the divisions that already exist in this country, the nation might not withstand another summer full of burning cities like we had in the '60s. It's great that Joe and others are taking the initiative in this regard. We all need to step up and do our part, too.
