When I was at Catholic University law school in the late '80s the university was in need of near-campus housing so they bought a rundown motel across the street and turned it into a dorm. Now we're seeing the pendulum swing back. Wouldn't surprise me if in a few years some of the South Green dorms went private or were converted for other uses, like hotels or maybe a medical facility.

Bromley was built as a premium "dorm" by a group of investors (Bromley Group) led by a NY millionaire whose son had enrolled at Ohio. Unfortunately, the son was killed in an auto accident and the father quickly exited the investment. It was ultimately sold to the university.
