I know a lot of people on here love Richard Vedder, but he's far from a friend of higher education and even the teaching profession. He's openly called for elimination of DEI and is firmly in the camp of those who want big tax cuts, no matter whom they hurt.

I’m not aware of Vedder’s politics. Every time I read an article regarding higher education, he is always quoted.

Maybe president salaries will approach football and basketball coaches someday.

Vedder has been the go to guy for education related issues in Ohio and Ridpath was the go to guy for sports issues. Interestingly, Vedder was an Athens City Schools school board member back in the 80s.
