That's always been true, and will continue to be true. It also comes down to finding gems in the rough. Still, though, Ohio is going to be competing against other G5 teams for the players they want, and you'd like to see Ohio winning a higher share of those battles.
Here is how Ohio's recruiting classes have been ranked in recent years:

For a long time, Ohio was pretty consistently in the 5-6th range. Albin's first recruiting class showed a not surprising dropoff. My point is that, now that he has established that he is a winner, classes should pop back up to the upper middle of the MAC, but we shall see.
I'm not saying that Ohio's recruiting classes will instantly go from bottom of the
MAC to the top. I'm saying that success breeds more success. If Ohio can win with bottom of the MAC classes
