I don't know how strong of competition he faces in his league, but he made some of the DBs in his tape look really soft.

The film wasn't what I expected. I thought I'd see them throwing high balls for him to go up after, and him catching them over shorter DBs. Instead most of the throws to him were low and/or behind him. That's ok, in that he has good hands, but it wasn't what I expected.

He does look like he'll benefit from the weight room. I doubt he plays as a Freshman.

We need two receivers that can play right away. He has the size and hands. The speed is questionable. We need wide receivers and Darfnell will be a project.

If one of those 2 fail to make it we have commit Jamison Collier who now looks more like a safety.

I don't see a rush for next year. We will have Papi, Odom and Ball. That would be an exciting trio this year. Ball was going to start until he got hurt.

Odom is inconsistent, Ball will need to overcome a major surgery an Papi is injury prone. We lose Cope and Meyer. We need two guys that can play right away, period.

We lose Cope. Meyer has another year of eligibility.

I forgot about KJ Minter as well. This 2017 class is loaded with potential at the WR position.

If they can't beat out who we have than we need to recruit better wide receivers. Who is the All-MAC guy? Can we have one? Let's not be stagnant.

Another solid athlete that the coaches couldn't figure out how to use consistently.

Old news but I'm just seeing this now.

From Ohio to Jackson State to Auburn. Had a few other P5 offers as well (Arkansas, Louisville, Mississippi State, Utah, Ole Miss, etc.)

Good for him. I was really hoping he'd stay with this group, we really lucked out with our transfers, so it really makes this easy to say... GOOD FOR YOU BUD! Hope he dominates. He's a serious talent.

Getting to play P5 football, but never approached the success he had in Athens. Could have had a few more years catching balls from Rourke. Not all transfers are well advised.

2019 with Ohio: 26 catches, 515 yds, 5 TDs, 19.8 YPC as a redshirt freshman. Odds are, numbers would have gone up (not counting the COVID season). Different level of competition of course.

Happy for him to get to play at Auburn of course, but transferring twice, he likely missed out on some huge numbers in Athens.

He’s probably getting much more NIL money there which may be what’s important to him right now as well as playing at a top level
