Played WR and FS in high school. A move from Safety to LB is not uncommon, and can work out very well, as he likely has the speed and range to cover receivers when needed. He was a team captain at Bucknell. Welcome, Blake.

Maybe even transfer Safety Dustin Johnson could play some LB.
Leake and Johnson on the field at the same time are D1 players with a combined total of close to 200 tackles last year. Both are serious tackling machines.
