Welcome, Andrew!

Andrew makes his pick:
https://www.pennlive.com/highschoolsports/2023/10/steel-h...

It sounds like he plans to play OL at OHio, not DL.

Andrew had a lot of other offers:
App St, Army, BG, Buffalo, CMU, U.Conn, Dartmouth, Duke, J. Madison, Louisville, Maryland, U. Mass, Nebraska, Penn St, Temple, Toledo, W. Virginia

Rated 82 by 247Sports, and 3 stars/5.5 by Rivals. Was the #38 recruit from Pennsylvania.

His brother is a QB, and is also being recruited this year, and also has a ton of offers.

Doubtful that he signs here since we weren’t mentioned…..but he is the top rated QB in Pennsylvania.

If they haven't already, they should try to get him to visit

Andrew is definitely an OL at the next level - not a DL.

Brother/twin, Alex, just set the PA career passing yards and TD's records over the past two weeks but a "group of 5" conference team may be more of his level (not the top QB in the state, not sure where that info came from). Competition (the lowest hs division) is very suspect, but he does throw a nice ball and can move around in the pocket. His previous top WR is now a safety at Penn State - for a tiny, 1A school, Steel-High is dripping with D1/D2 talent. No wonder they've won 2 state titles in the past 3 years and are favored to win a 3rd in 4 years this season.

Like I said, a G5 or lower-P5 school may be a good level for him. I'm not sure if the twins want to go to college together or not.

Interestingly, ON3 shows Erby still committed to Ohio, but they think there is a <1% chance he signs with Ohio:
https://www.on3.com/db/andrew-erby-jr-4993

I'm not familiar with ON3, so I have no idea how accurate they are. We shall see, I guess.

EDIT - NVM. Based on the fact that for virtually all the Ohio verbals, the chances they show of the player ending up at Ohio are low, it seems that the predictions were made early on, and are from before the verbal was made. I guess it is understandable that they thought a top Pennsylvania player would choose Ohio over Penn State were very low, but it seems they were wrong. ;)

Like everything about this young man. Not often do we get someone with offers from Penn State and Nebraska. http://tinyurl.com/49cz8php
