Does anyone have offer information for Westerville South's Jayshawn Jackson? A friend told me that he had a great game vs. Dublin Coffman today -- well over 200 yards rushing. The game was on ESPNU, but we were out of the house this afternoon.

As I recall, the Columbus Dispatch had a recruiting article recently and said that he has some MAC offers but due to his size he isn't yet seeing offers from other D-1 schools. I expect to get a look at him on September 24 when the Wildcats visit Dublin Scioto.

Thanks, Ted. this morning's Dispatch has him with 318 yards on 42 carries with 2 TDs. It was a very good second half performance for the Westerville South offensive line as the Wildcats dominated time of possession. They had 33 rushes and 0 passes in the second half.

Ironically the announcer (I forget who, but he's also one of the ESPN recruiting analysts) was talking about Jackson and mentioned Ohio University and Frank Solich as a good fit for him.

Sounds like an offer from Toledo, and Purdue and Ball State have contacted him.

Jayshawn Jackson or "Peanut" as he's called is a human bolwing ball. He's about 5'6" but is a very strong and powerful runner. He has good speed and plays with a lot of heart and desire. Colleges that are overlooking him (no pun intended) because of his height could be making a big mistake. IMO The young man has strength, quickness and determination to play at a MAC school.

He has a bit of work left to do in the classroom. If he gets that straightened out, the offers will come in. Lots of schools are showing interest but are waiting to see how things go.

Cincinnati, Northern Illinois, pretty much most of the MAC are also in contact FWIW.
