The Cleveland Plain Dealer is reporting that Solon High School linebacker Jovon Johnson has made a verbal commitment to Ohio. The 6-foot, 200-pounder joins teammate Kyle Hammonds in the Bobcats' 2011 recruiting class.

I'm headin out the door to Topsail Beach NC for about 10 days......get me some more recruits while I'm gone.

I agree. This is exactly the kind of recruit Ohio needs. I'm very excited by all the early recruits. What a great start to a class. I have said this year and  next year will be the best Ohio teams yet under Ohio. Looks like it won't stop there, and the future is very bright.

Got a chance to watch Jovon against St Ed's. Great closing speed and intensity. He will be an asset at OLB for the cats or perhaps at SS. Congrats are in order on a great senior year. The Solon program is one of Ohio's best in the big school classification. Great recruit along with teamate Hammonds
