Ohio has received a verbal from El Camino College cornerback Mose Denton. The 6-1, 190-pounder had 38 tackles for the Warriors last season with 7 break-ups. Signed with Nevada out of high school and redshirted there in 2008. He'll enter Ohio as a junior.

I like how he plays right up on the receiver. He looks pretty physical for a corner as well. Welcome to Ohio Mose!

We need safeties....this guy and Octavius Leftwich plus the new recruit Macer could be outstanding safeties with an excellent size/speed ratio.

That would work.....Leftwich's and Kenny Jackson and Denton on the corners......Moore and Carrie at safety....barring injury or other unforeseen circumstances.

I thought Xavier Hughes played pretty good at times as well when pressed into duty at S, even though he spent a lot of the season at CB. He needs some muscle for a full-time safety. And Gonzales-Santos has been a good depth player when healthy as well. Still waiting to see what Jamil Shaw brings, though I have heard favorable things.

Haven't heard anything about Carpenter and Ingol, but I guess since we don't have 50 JC DBs on the board, the staff is pretty comfortable with what they see.
