According to Bill Kurelic, Antwan Crutcher a 6-1 280 DT from Cleveland Glenville,  committed to OU.  Had offers from Illinois, Ball St, Miami, Akron and BG.  Saw this on ESPN Recruiting Insider.

A few things come to mind with this latest recruit. First, Glenville breeds raw athleticism. I've have had the privilege to see them play in the years past at Byers Field and am always amazed with how much talent they have on the field. This guy is a big get for us and should see some early play time with the loss of Oxley, Williamson, and Hodge at the defensive tackle.

Another thing worth noting, Tedd Ginn Sr. always remembers the schools and coaching staffs that offer and support his players. He can be very influential in his players college decisions and Glenville is a great place for a pipeline to Ohio University if you want to see some play-makers at Peden.

With all the talent coming in on the defensive line next season, we may have a Fearsome Foursome on our hands. I hope you all like defense in Athens, because ours just keeps getting better and better.

Well said....that's why I said "if not sooner"......quite a few Glenville players have not committed....."Y'all come down now....ya here?"

Great get. He should contribute very early.

I wonder if he can put a bug in Cordale Jones' ear for OU.

edit: After watching his film, THIS KID IS A PLAYER!

Beast ...Beast...Beast. Mean streak...with that said very nice young man and should plug the middle of the Bobcats line for some time...Cordale and Aundrey arent coming to Ohio but this is a great start..in a few years OHIO could be a place where guys like Cordale and Aundrey will look right after Cbus or venturing out of state...Oh I almost forgot Cordale and Aundrey did visit OHIO!! Coach Solich and his staff are doing a great job in turning this program around.

The northeast Ohio/Cleveland connection is starting to come back!  It seemed like a few years ago we were losing groung in that region to teams like BG, Akron, etc.  But with the amount of talent in that area each year it is nice to see such a big recruiting presence again.   We should also get a lot of local coverage up here on signing day especially with how much the local media covers Glenville.

Anyone know who the last recruit was we signed from Glenville?  I can't remember any.

Apparently, Crutcher had previously given a verbal to Ball State. But then Parrish got fired and...

I believe that one of my demands was Disruptive Defensive Linemen, the most valuable commodity in football.

Maybe we'll have a few of them.

If we run a 4 man DT rotation like last year I definately can see him as one of the 4.

This dude is a good player. Only concern is if he can't stay academically eligible.

There are no academic concerns with Mr. Crutcher. Stop making stuff up and take another bite of your Jibjab..

Here's a little video interview with Antwan from Scout.com before his senior season.  Seems like a pretty humble kid.  I can't wait until we get all of these guys to sign on the dotted line so it's official!
