Ian and Stebbins begin their season Friday night at West Carrollton. West Carrollton went 8-3 in 2009, while Stebbins obviously suffered an 0-10 season as mentioned in the links above.
I was at Dublin Scioto's 17-7 win over Hilliard Bradley last night when a text came in from Ted that Stebbins snapped the streak witha 21-9 win over the Pirates. Congrats to Ian, his teammates and coaches. Now it's time to build something.
Scioto's Jamare Mills, who is uncommitted but has offers from Duke and Minnesota among others, had a nice night against an outsized Bradley. He is listed as 6-5/250 and is playing tight end and defensive tackle. He had a few catches, including one in traffic and another where he had to lay out and snag it off the turf. I look forward to seeing the Irish play at perennial D-II state qualifier Columbus Marion-Franklin next Friday night.
