Must be close to "That's All Folks!"

I'd love one more Big surprise though...
Yeah, lkie the 4 star Toledo get today!

Its safe to say that Toledo may of had a better class then Ohio until you look and see that we beat out Toledo something like 9 times head to head in the recruiting wars. Toledo is going to be the favorite in the West next season and I'm glad we don't have to line up against them in the regular season.

I'm pretty sure this has been answered before, but are some of those because Toledo pulled the offer before the player had made his decision?  It's one thing to pull the offer after a player commits, quite another to me to pull the offer before a decision.

I look forward to seeing what Nick from VanDelay Sports says about the recruiting rankings. He is a Toledo alum but is usually hard on his Rockets.

It's nice that Ohio has now gotten to a point that they aren't having to rely on a lot of unknown recruits. Some of those unknowns have turned out to be pretty good players, but others have never contributed much. The other comment I'd make is that for all the concern about converting Verbals into Signees, only a few people gave Ohio verbals and then didn't end up signing. This looks like an outstanding class. With classes like this, Ohio is going to be a force in the MAC for years to come, and will certainly get that first bowl game win one of these years.

I'd really like to know what "clicked" this year.  New recruiting coordinator with a better approach?  A new strategy in approaching players?  More positive stuff to talk about (IPF)?  Seems like this class is significantly stronger than any Frank has had here.  Why is that?

I'm guessing-stability of staff,Nebraska connection pays off some years-not so much other years, winning records the last few years, new IPF, instability at many MAC schools.  I still think that the stars have been increased which is cranking up everybody.,

Sage wisdom from colobobcat66. I would underline, highlight, go bold, use big font on "stability." I would add that the players drafted and the style of offense and defense all help. Yes Monroe, I think the recruits actually like the style of offense Ohio runs.

One thing Frank was saying is that they did a much better job of maintaining communication with the recruits. Letter writing to the players was done on a daily basis. Another mention is how they're changing the philosophy toward recruiting more of an academic type player that wants to be at Ohio University with 5 guys graduating early from High School to participate in spring workouts. The biggest thing that stands out to me with this years class is how they signed 7 defensive lineman and they are signing a more athletic guy up front, moving away from the Hodge/Williamson mold (plugging up the middle with 6 1" 340 pound big uglies) to guys that can cover the edge better and pass rush.  Frank said he recruited some CBs just to have extra depth needed depending on the D packages. The recruiting process sounded more organized than in years past. Its taken Frank a while to understand how to overcome the challenge of getting a player here to Athens. The wins under Frank and division titles are not as important to a recruit I think as some of the other factors.

Coach Solich talked about the planned indoor practice facility and how that probably helped in some of the recruitment processes. I am sure it did not hurt to have one being built in the foreseeable future.
