Windham or French or Guy....3 of the best QB recruits we've had in some time......let's get at least one of these guys.

I always wonder if these guys come and see a sophomore QB starting and think about their playing time when they get here.  We talk about how great it is to have a guy starting for three years. Could that keep us from getting someone who wants to play sooner?  I sort of think that kept us from getting many running backs when Kalvin McRae was playing.  Just wondering what you guys think.

If you factor in a redshirt year - he would have to either beat out the starting QB or sit one year.

They might be able to sit Tettleton down.

Most athletes think about that but I wouldnt look too much in it because if the kid is good enough after enrolling and or redshirting to beat out the starter then Coach Solich will make that move im sure! Good thing about Ohio there doesnt seem to be much put into politics here.

Good programs overcome this problem all the time.

Certainly a program needs two capable qb's.  I don't have the stats but between injuries and need for a spark I'll bet the back-up plays over 20% of the season for about 60% of teams.  (something like that)

Come on now...

I'm all for competition, the way he's performing now with only 3 games under his belt, Tyler is the present and foreseeable future for Ohio.  As has been mentioned, when you factor in red-shirt a kid recruited in the 2012 class will only have to sit a year and can have his shot at competing with Vick & Bell to take the reins moving forward.  You spend your time learning the offense so you're ready when your shot comes along.  Hell, Sanchez only played one year at USC...
