It's not just for us....but it seems that this year that many of the MAC recruits are waiting until the last minute.

Sure....some of the MAC teams like Ball State have a dozen or so verbals....but many like us only have a few.

I think when recruits wait and visit that we have the edge....no panic....just waitin for good news.

I don't know why we would have so few by now.  Miami just go their 15th and I think 6-7 of them we also offered.  Ball State 13, NIU 8, Temple 100 or more, etc. I know we always seem to get many late, but this is getting ridiculous.   I really would have thought the the new practice facility would be making a huge difference.  It may have been a small factor last year, since the class was pretty good, but not seeing it this year-yet.  It'll all work out, trust Frank, they know what they're doing, they keep them quiet, blah, blah, blah.

It would be nice to have numbers now.  But is the goal to have the best class or the first announced class?

Two factors seem to influence our slow-but-steady approach.  These factors seem to work:  Recruit young men who will come and stay (won't leave because they really want to play before 80,000 in the big city) and recruit to fill needs.  On offense, we need some lineman and running backs.  On defense, we need linemen, a linebacker or two and some db's.

I could be wrong, but I think we signed him a couple years ago out of Cincy area.  Hopefully, he will last longer then our last athlete from Hutchinson CC.

Tim Edmonds was actually recruited as a 3 star fullback....offered by I think  by Illinois....since we no longer use a fullback good to see him as a linebacker....good athlete.

Listed as a Freshman on the Hutchinson CC roster.  I assume he would have 3 to play for us then.

Edmond was part of the 2009 recruiting class (http://www.ohiobobcats.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/020309aac.html). Since he's listed as a freshman on the 2011 Hutchinson roster, I assume he played no football in 2009 or 2010?

Ted...he could have went to a prep school in 2009 and redshirted at JC in 2010, much like the Leftwich twins did.

FYI...Edmond is second on Hutch with 21 tackles in three games with two fumble recoveries. He's #6 in the following photo gallery.

Looks like he did redshirt at Hutchinson last year, as he was in for Spring 2010. Seems like he'd have three years to play three if he enrolls at Ohio after this semester.

Thread about Cole French says that he was at the game tonight.  Any other recruits there?  Had to impress 'em if they were.
