Per scoutingohio.com.

Yazdani is a 2011 recruit who I assume will be a preferred walkon. He originally had committed to Toledo.

Good to see a local guy get on board. There should NEVER be an Athens County player that goes to another FBS school! On the rare occasion that a local guy has Division 1 talent, we have to keep him here.

big fish,

I got my degree from Ohio University.  I worked at Ohio University for 9 years.  Lived in Athens for 13.

If I lived in athens and had offers from Ohio and another FBS school like, oh, let's say  Florida, you would hear only one sound:  the screech of my tires as I peeled out of town and headed south...

Perhaps, but I don't think any TVC footballers are getting offers from the Gators anytime soon. I was just being realistic with the level of talent around here...

Along with Grant Venham of Vincent Warren Local, we now have secured the services of two local kickers.

He's not talking about stealing local recruits away from SEC schools. He just means that we shouldn't let the local talent end up at places like Akron or Kent State.

If a kid comes up in this area and or lives in the plains who has an offer for U of Florida to play football..I would check his urine and his parents urine ASAP.
