This offer was bosted pre-board crash. But there's an in-depth article on Fulcher in today's Enquirer. Ohio remains his only offer but he's getting interest from UC, Wisconsin and BG.

If he plays anything like his father does on my Tecmo Super Bowl Nintendo game, he should be ustoppable for us. I gotta think as soon as UC offers he's probably out of our reach. Although, if we show him a tape of Mike Mitchell knocking Todd Boeckman to the ground, he might react differently.

Will be on scholarship beginning January 2012. Unsure about status this fall.

He will then be redshirted and might be referred to as a grayshirt?????

A Greyshirt is when you delay admission until after the season, which would not start you clock and effectively could have you playing 6 years post high school. It is common to practice with a team, and then leave the team when school begins, thus keeping your eligibility.

Sounds like he could be a serious diamond in the rough...

What do you think happened here? Did he hold out for a better offer?

Doesn't sound like a grayshirt situation. It sounds like at least one, if not two, scholarships have opened up, so I'm betting he'll be a scholarship player right away.

There are any number of ways to reconcile those articles. It appears that he had an offer mid-way through the season, but now will get a scholarship perhaps in January, perhaps sooner. What happened? One possibility that I can think of is that he might have waited too long to accept the offer, and the class filled up, so he ended up with an offer for Spring.
