Recruiting's not exactly a hobby for me like it is Doc's and many others but I had to put this kid's name up here...

I've seen him play (WR) twice now...He is a force (6'4") and he catches everything!

He played QB last year (option) but there's a new Coaching Staff in town for the Pacers this year and he was moved to WR.  I don't know if it's just that or the fact that he's being heavily recruited for BB but his name seems to be seriously under the radar from what I can see.  Anyone know if he's even on the Ohio board?

I promise this isn't a homer post...The kid can flat out play...

I think he has been such a basketball prospect that he is being overlooked football-wise. If he worked on his jump shot he would be unstoppable. I am not sure what schools are looking at him but I think he visited Miami last year. I have heard that he needs to concentrate on his academics also.

Another Bobcat fan from Delaware!

Yeah I noticed he visited Miami last year too but couldn't find any follow-up.  Also found a little chatter on one of the O$U boards but not much...Although they did mention academic eligibility there as well...Hopefully he's taking this year seriously in the classroom...Hate to see him waste that talent...

Getting looks from the big boys. Both basketball and football.

Maybe if he does delay a decision until after basketball season we'd have a shot?

Matt is an outstanding talent and a good kid.  I was the coach of the All Ohio Gold AAU basketball team Matt played on.  I have coached him since 9th grade.  If he can take care of things academically he will be highly recruited, but that is the question mark at this point.

Read in Dispatch this morning that he will miss his senior basketball season due to football injury.

That'll have Coach Blackburn pulling his hair out...

At least Matt wrapped up his commit first though!
