Yeah just sick of the childishness! Every time I post something there's a snide comment, I'd rather hang out at the Buck Nuts board at least I know where they stand.

Just my opinion, but you might be a bit oversensitive on the matter. If it was my "creepy" comment you were taking offense to, it wasn't directed at you and wasn't meant to be snide. I've been writing about Bobcat recruiting for more than 15 years and have seen a lot of strange behavior on behalf of some alums. Just callin' off the dogs, so to speak. I'm all for the tweets and subtweets in the right context. I just know that all of our current recruits will go to Ohio and spend four+ years making great friends with teammates, other students and others people in town -- not with me. I'll just be in the stands at home and on the road cheering them on like thousands of others. And I'm fine with that. I bet if you go back and look at my history here, there won't be one single post about personal lives.

I'm not sure how to delete an account, but participation has always been voluntary. I personally hope you choose to continue to post. I've always appreciated your insights (notice I bumped your post about camp) even if we come at things from different perspectives.

Accounts cannot be deleted....the poster just leaves.

(Honestly, I never built the function to delete an account.)

Deleting Your Own Account reminds me of the "Self-Deportation" discussion in the debate the other night.

I think a lot of it has to do with over-reacting. This forum tends to be mostly older, more mature guys, and we don't get as excited as some younger ones do. For example, concerning QB's leaving, it is pretty normal that when a freshman or sophomore has an outstanding year, and basically locks up the starting job for three years, the guys behind him realize they aren't going to play, and seek a transfer. We've seen it before, and we'll see it again, so we don't tend to get all that excited.

The same holds true with this incident. We're more content to remain passive observers, than to get active. Many of us don't use things like twitter at all, and have little interest in it. If we did try to use it, we'd probably do more harm than good. Also, we've seen too many cases in our day where unsupervised alumni involvement in recruiting turned out to be a very bad thing.

You say you don't know where you stand here? Sure you do...we just tend to be calmer and less excitable. Just think of us as where you'll be in 20-30 years or so, and you'll know where you stand.

Ted, at this point I sense Blitz would probably prefer that you merely delete this post. Welcome back, BCB ... though you never were actually gone.
