With this newest class in the books I was looking through the class that was inked in the 2007 signing period.  There are quite a few names on this list who are key pieces of what has been one of the most successful runs OUr program has ever had.  Take a moment to look through the names and their contributions to Bobcat Football.  Quite a legacy created by these students: www.ohiobobcats.com/sports/m-footbl/spec-rel/020707aac.html

This is a very extreme listing! They guys here either starred or where unfulfilled talents..wasnt much in between. I see this guy Spegal walking around at Ping and he is one of the biggest humans you will ever see.

Lots of injury guys here.....always makes me cringe about any future classes....but now we have the depth that should dismiss any concerns.

There were 3-4 years there where there just an extreme amount of injuries on the offensive line. As I recall Spegal, Laudermilch, and Flowers all had their careers cut short by injury.

This class demonstrates the staffs abilities in so many areas.  First, the group, due to injuries, never achieved it's potential. 2007, best class ever.  2012, still has proven nothing.  Minus the injuries to the 2007 group Ohio would have multiple MAC titles at this point.  JMHO.  Next, that these coaches can see potential not just stars.  Brazil, one letter; Flading, two letters, 240 lbs, Clark, two letters, etc. Finally they can develop raw talent and coach em up.

O'Hara transferred to Youngstown State but did not play football.  He posted on Facebook he received a scholarship at Ohio University but did  not like it.

Brian Sweeney transferred to California PA and has been a backup to Peter Lalich.  Lalich got booted from UVA and Oregon State for continued underage drinking and probation problems.  I believe his father and / or grandfather had gone to Ohio University and we may have recruited him.

A bit of irony.  UVA had a running back who they booted from the football team when he was spotted drunk and taking a wizz on the student grounds.   The story is he tried to outrun campus security and was caught from behind.  I guess Groh felt if he could not outrun campus security he should get rid of him.  This player went on the play for Marshall and will be staring in the Super Bowl for the New York Giants, Ahmad Bradshaw.

If my memory is correct, I bet he'd be able to out-run campus police down in Athens. At least when I was in college.
