Gosh (I almost said "Gee" but I didn't want a reference to Gordo), it's hard to imagine the Dispatch with even less relevant news than it now has. We dropped the weekday paper months ago because we really couldn't justify the cost, given the little amount of fresh material in it. If they're going tabloid (to better use The Other Paper's facilities?) they should just concentrate on state and local news and sports, and leave the national and world stuff to the Internet. And the first thing they should cut is Ben Marrison's column on Sundays. Too damn self-serving.
Marrison is welcoming readers' input on the paper's upcoming changes (what should be kept, added, etc. . .). I have sent some ideas from the viewpoint of a long-time subscriber with degrees from osu inc. and The Ohio University who would love to see an increase of coverage for one of my alma maters and a decrease for the other. Not holding my breath (because I'm a long-time subscriber).
