Ohio has offered a preferred walk-on spot to St. Clairsville HS wide receiver Jerrid Marhefka. The 6-foot, 175-pounder has a similar offer from Marshall.

Nice....after watchin his performance in the Div lll championship game he was to be my next WR on my wish list.....but we already have 3 WR commits depending on how the coaches use them......this kid ciaught 9 passes and scored 4 TD's in the championship game.....decent b-ball player and track star....a Riley dunlop kind of WR....one that some BAers say we don't need....I disagree:

This kid was a beast in the state title game.  He is the type of kid I would make an offer to if we have a scholarship open up or have a current verbal have a change of heart.

St. C. was an interesting study this year.  Probably more like a perfect storm.  Besides Marhefka's offer, Monterosa is a verbal to Boston College (although there are rumors he may decommit and go to the Evil Empire), Ferms has given verbal to Michigan as a junior, and Brown (as a sophmore) has already been to Michigan and I believe is being heavily recruited by them.

Nice to see another Valley boy getting recruited.  The OVAC is a strong, traditionally tough conference and too often neglected in recruiting efforts.  King George can vouch for the fact that the Valley if fertile football ground.
What does the other Bellaire Bobcat (besides me) think?

BTW, St C was in the Convo for the regional basketball last season and the mentioned kids are athletic.

Been a while since Belmont County had a team that loaded with D-1 talent, probably ever . I believe Brown is a junior and is a little on the smallish side but could go somewhere big. Interesting to see what Monteroso does now that there has been a coaching change at BC. Not sure what drew him there in the first place.
