This concerns me more than pleases me!  That is pre-signing day and there is going to be a lot of eyes on that event.

He sounded like a level headed kid, and a firm verbal, but I didn't mind having him under the radar. He won't be, any more. I guess we'll find out how firm his verbal is. It isn't like playing at Ohio will hurt his draft chances, so hopefully he'll stick with his original decision.

A whole lot of big school listed for the boys playing in that game! Makes me happy, if you want to play with the big boys you need to recruit with the big boys!!

The eyepatch works many ways, some bigger schools are going to be looking closer at the young men we are try to get in to the program. Even if we do start losing some of these recruits (which I hope we don't), it is just a sign of how good of shape our program is under the current coaching staff...we have came a LONG way since I was in school!

Most likely, he has seen that at Ohio he will play right away if he is that good, time to develop if needed, one of the nation's best position coaches and stability.  Not much more a player could need.

So there's soft verbal #3....can't remember that many in one year...success seems to attract better players but also more "undecideds".

Easy, now Doc. Here's an article dated today.
"Brown, who has committed to play college football at Ohio, is among 100 players selected to play in the all-star contest."

It isn't a quote directly from his mouth, but it doesn't sound like he said anything to imply he isn't a firm commit.

I found this discussion on a WV board, too, where those who seem to know imply that he is very firm in his commitment to Ohio.

I would attribute the "undecided" to the fact that he is under the radar. He is not even in the Rivals database at all, and only today was added in Scout as a not-yet-rated Ohio commit. ESPN also shows him in their database, unrated, and with no commit. 247Sports is the only one that has it right, showing him as 3-stars, and committed to Ohio.
