Now that there is another running back in the class, I decided to go back and watch
film of Dorian Brown. He's a very different runner than Carson, more of a speed back who excels in open field running. The two will make a great tandem. I loved that Brown's film starts with blocking highlights, by the way. That shows a great attitude.
For what it's worth:
Rivals rates Carson 5.5, Brown 5.4.
ESPN rates Carson 76, Brown has not been rated
Scout rates Carson the 137th best RB in the country, and Brown as the 112th best.
247Sports rates Carson 87 and the 46th best RB in the country, and Brown at 79 and the 114th best.
Both are very good, and both are nationally ranked, but even better, they are very different. That means they will make a great 1-2 punch, or they could be used at the same time, with Brown running as a slot receiver.
