ScoutingOhio is reporting (kind of) that Warren Howland WR/ATH Brendan Cope has committed to Ohio. As some of you know, ScoutingOhio is closed to the public right now. But they reported a commitment of a WR/ATH to Ohio and the link shows a picture of Cope.

Nice to see yet another early recruit. Got to love it when they are getting the kids they really want. He looks like a player. I did notice he only carries the ball with the right hand, which seemed odd when he was running down the left sidelines.

He's also a legit 4.4 forty with decent verts....an athlete for sure.

It can also be argued that 6'3" at the wideout spot(s) is pleasant.

Nice.

No reason for him to wait for any more, either, as he already has the key one.

I know some may diss this verbal since he's primarily a QB.  If you watch some of his vids you'll see his running or YAC ability.  He has the height and speed and the hands....one vid segment shoes him diving low for a red zone catch smothered by defenders.

I'm not worried about this committ for a lot of reasons....the most important one being the fact that we offered him a schollie knowing that he was probably not a D1 QB....I also like his competition....many vids are skewed and look like man against boys cause that's what it is.

So Monroe is not the only BA person who talks to himself....just for fun when this verbal was announced I said to myself....self....the only Cope you remember is General Johnny whose English forces got their arses kick by my highlanders...and they said that he ran so fast that he didn't walk from Edinburgh to England....maybe this kid is an ancestor...he certainly can run fast...4.4 ain't shabby:

I foresee Cope catching a 20 yard crossing route then running a reverse only to drop back and throw a bomb like Buffalo pulled on us Saturday.  Versatility is a wonderful asset.
