Ohio has offered a scholarship to Cincinnati Sycamore High School TE Mason Morgan. It's the first offer for the 6-6, 225-pounder.

According to ESPN, Ohio is Morgan's favorite right now over offers from Akron, Ball St., BG and Buffalo. He plans to attend the New Mexico St. game and make a couple of more visits before deciding.

Me thinks some of these TE's may end up on defense if they committ....have word that at least one other highly touted TE is considering Ohio but at 6'6"-260 he may end up as an OT or DE.

Doc, I looked at his Scout.com profile. While "only" a two-star, they tout him #77 nationally at TE, which would seem to me to be a really nice get to play at TE. As you know, from Carter-Mooney onward, OUr TE's with good hands (ironically, the All-State ad is on the screen as I'm jotting this down) have been getting it thrown their way.

This is a great addition. For what it's worth, he's a 3-star from 247 sports.

Once upon a time Ohio was recruiting mostly unknown players. Then they were recruiting mostly 2 star players. Now they are recruiting mostly high 2 star or 3 star players. Since the incoming players are better than those recruited 5 years ago, the team and not peaked. The teams 5 years from now should be better than the team this year. I am quite serious when I say that I don't think there will be another season with less than 10 wins in the near future, and in saying that, if he stays for the full 5 years of his contract (which I think he will), Solich will pass Hess for #2 on Ohio's win chart.

He sounds like a great addition. This recruiting class is really shaping up to be something. I too am excited for the future. Coach Solich is really building something here!
