It is quite possible that the existence of the portal will make talented guys quicker to pull the trigger on Ohio. If a guy likes the Ohio staff, and feels like he can play, why not? There is no reason to hold out for a long time, waiting for that "better offer" because, if he ends up unhappy at Ohio, he can jump into the portal, and try again.
