According to Mike Dyer of the Cincinnati Enquirer: "Middletown senior CB Shawn Harris has committed to Ohio University as a preferred walk-on, according to Middies coach Troy Everhart"

Smallish corners can indeed do the job. One that comes to mind for me is Pat Fisher of the Redskins, who played in the NFL for 17 years, 213 games, 3 Pro-bowls, had 56 interceptions, and was known for his outstanding tackling skills. He was reported to be 5'8, 170, but I'd be surprised if he was really that big.  Even then, Shawn at 5'9 160 is taller, and will be heavier in time. If he grows another inch, he'll be right in the middle range of recent Ohio corners but for now he's the same as Kenny Jackson and Ryan Clark:

Idris Lawrence 5'8 176
Ryan Clark 5-9 167
Kenny Jackson 5-9 168
Devin Bass 5'10 175
TJ Wright - 5'10 176
Julian Posey - 5'10 179
Dion Byrum - 5'10 192
Mark Parson - 5'10 192
Lorenzo Fisher 5'11 170
Ian Wells 5'11 185
Thad Turner 5'11 188
Travis Carrie 6'0 203

We had a db who was absolutely tearing it up in a bowl game before being somewhat cheap-shotted to a bad knee injury via a hard block well away from play.  I think that it was in the last bowl game that we lost?  Against stupd cow?  Was that Lo' Fisher?

(sorry for threadjack.  but that db was having a great game and, I believe, had really come on at the end of the year, his senior year.  your list, l.c., reminded me of that)

I love watching the video of this kid. The first thing you notice is the level of competition he sees each week in Cincinnati. This may be a kid who can contribute.

Yeah....me too.  Love how he makes tackles on return men from the other side of the field.

With him and true freshman Brown I feel better about CB depth.
