Question.  What is his style? Is he like TT, Dysert, out of what mold is he?

Their offense is a simplified version of ours out of the pistol. Our coaches have actually assisted them some in implementing it. This kid would be able to jump in and understand the offense without question, not to mention his dad is a coach. He'd be a perfect fit.

Some of you are simply underestimating this kids sizes and tools.  Say what you want about where he plays, but Athens is in the upper 1/2 of schools in Ohio size wise.  The kid is simply got the whole package, saw them v Watkins last season when he came to my home town, legit 6'4", quick release, quick feet, and based on size alone he will garner offers that TT never dreamd of.  Some things you can't teach, and height is one of them.

if the kid is really good, why would he want to play for a MAC school? Maybe he's got real dreams, like playing in a BCS bowl, or being the #1 overall pick in the NFL draft, or winning 2 Super Bowls before he's 27.

but seriously... I don't know why some people continue to carry such a defeatist attitude about OUr school. Could he end up at B1G school? Sure, maybe. But that doesn't mean Ohio isn't a good option for him, or anyone else for that matter.

It's not a defeatist attitude but rather a realistic view. Could the kid end up here? He very well may, but he also may be playing DI Basketball somewhere as well.

Realistic?

You're telling me its realistic to think a kid doesn't want to stay at home and play for his dad along with a coach who has been to the national championship at a program that has won two straight bowl games playing in a conference that just had the #1 pick in the NFL draft?

I am optimistic about many things. Thinking this kid wants to play for Ohio is not crazy talk pipe dreams. It is entirely realistic.

Pass the pipe, his father and brothers played at Nebraska, and as I stated he may be playing Roundball somewhere as well. News flash, not everyone who grows up in Athens wants to stay in Athens.

And this hanging on to a MAC player was number #1 pick has zero relevance to OHIO football, great for that young man and great for CMU, but has zero effect on us. You really think Frank is going to sit in a recruits room and tout CMU had a #1 pick? May as well tout hey, NIU played in the Orange Bowl, come play for us.

I'd actually put a little cash on this. Ohio v the field 2:1 odds for $100
