During the TCU-Wisconsin Rose Bowl Game a couple seasons ago one of the announcers attributed TCU's athleticism to the coaching staff's ability to recruit and convert former high school QBs to safeties, LBs, WRs, etc.
It makes sense, I mean typically the QB is one of the top 3 athletes on any high school team. I think in situations like this, the coaching staff is willing to gamble that a former high school QB might be a much better prospect at a different position. I think ATH commit Brendan Cope is in a similar boat (former QB, correct me if I'm wrong). I'm all about rolling the dice on high school QBs. Especially with OUr staff's ability to get the most out of OHIO student-athletes.
