Ok, not to get off-topic, but I liked reading this

“I was all for midweek games,” Solich said. “They’re seeing us on TV, they’re seeing us win. We have 250,000 alums, they’re seeing us on TV now and taking pride in the program.

I really hope we can bring these guys in. Two of the highest rated recruits we've ever signed under Solich. Clark was in Iowa, correct? Where is Murray?

2 big game changers.

True Freshman Brown and Wyatt have looked great in practice......add Murray to those 2 and you have 3 dynamic wideouts.

Clark at 6'4"-320 can of  course hold his own in the middle.....as I've flown over practice in the Solich Soarer I've really noticed true Freshman Cleon Aloese of Pago Pago and Tony Porter from Georgia......both are in that 300-310 range and "about" 6 feet tall.....seen em stuff some dudes for sure.....with Clark the middle will be no place to run.

Thanks for that update Paul. I looked at our roster and there must be 17 DL's when you include DE's and NG types.
This will be a strength for many years to come.

BTW: BA working just fine here in Guangzhou, this Monday morning. No clog ups.

I believe Murray redshirted at Hutchinson last year.  He's listed on the roster at hudl.com right now and has some highlights from their spring season where he looks good.

Clark was at  Iowa Western where he also redshirted.  He just tweeted recently he's at San Bernandino Valley College in Cali now.

Anyone know what happened to Roberts?

Glad to hear the board isn't too clogged up in China! Fonts seem a little bigger there though.

Indeed he is on their roster, as a redshirt freshman. I wonder how that ended up happening?

Murray had 173 all purpose yards in his first game with Hutchinson CC. Also, a punt return for TD and a receiving TD. Sounds like an electric player, excited for him to come to Athens.

I was worried the arrest might change his mind - isn't he close to Windham?

WOW a few more games like that in the Jayhawk conference will have the really big boys knocking on his dorm room door. I really hope we can keep him!

Also Ingram, in this class. Windham's problems are personal, though, and not the fault of the program, so I'm hoping they don't affect recruiting.

I just have this feeling he'll never get here. Had the same feeling about Kenny Ashley, even before I saw his Myspace pics were he brandishes a gun!

Bottom line, is there something at Ohio this Florida young man values enough over what the BCS boys can offer?  I would say the coaching.  If he has been able to settle in and likes Hutchinson, Ohio has a great chance.  If he is liking Kansas Bill Snyder and Matt's brother Jake will surely be offering the chance to join a group that highly regards JUCO athletes.  Would not surprise me to see him at Kansas State.  They currently have three Hutchinson CC players on their roster.  I won't have any hard feelings if he goes elsewhere.  I just hope he finds coaching as good as Dixon and the opportunity to play like Ohio offers.

Murray's not going to find a better WR coach in the country than Dixon. The fact that they are able to keep a quality coach like Dixon is a testament to the fact that stability and job security means a lot in a day and age where most schools turn over coaches every few years. It's also a testament to Athens being a nice place to live.

Off topic but someone commented about a recruit brandishing a gun. Do you realize how many current Ohio players have pictures brandishing a gun? Sure you do if you're on social media viewing these young men's profiles. But I assume these guys get looked over but rifles and shotguns are firearms too. Too bad people still attach a stigma and profile certain individuals from one picture or image.

It is youth hunt time around my area.  Soon the local paper will have a page with images of proud moms/dads with sons/daughters brandishing guns as they do their part to control the deer population.  I am so glad there are still places young people still learn things you should know; use tools, catch/clean a fish, garden, shoot/dress a deer/turkey/pheasant and know/help your neighbor.

When a big city kid takes pictures of him/herself with a firearm, the intention is intimidation, power, fear, etc... And typically is correlated with gang activity.

Not to stigmatize all gang members as though they can't go on to lead normal lives. But its fair to say that at that stage of their life it may not be an easy transition to be a student athlete at a well respected university in rural ohio. Thats all I was saying.

Not sure how hunting deer relates to any of this.

So "big city" 18 yr old kids cannot legally own firearms and take pictures with their property? LOL you sound like the NRA who wants to arm "everyone". Except those people.

Actually the age at which one can legally own (well, purchase) a firearm varies by both state and type of firearm. Generally speaking, one must be 21 to purchase a side arm but only 18 to purchase a long arm.

Caveat: "Purchase" and "Ownership" are clearly different things, and may  have different standards from state to state.
