FL State won the national championship because some 6'6" dude went up and caught the winning TD and some other key throws.

We need some really tall receivers.  Deal with it.

Actually from a receiving standpoint they won because Rashad Greene their 6 foot receiver had almost 150 yards receiving and multiple big gains.  But then that wouldn't support your viewpoint.  The reality is you need a strong pair - a big boy and someone that can spread the field. The tall guy can also be resolved (as you and others have discussed) by a valuable TE.  Personally, give me a tall TE that can be relied on for 10 yards and wide receivers that can block down field - and height is not a required to block (watch Steve Smith Sunday).

I worry more about Ohio's short CB/Nickles than I do about tall receivers..
I had to laugh when I saw that the ad at the top of the page was for "MongoDB".

...We miss T-Mac in the red zone/on the goal line. Brazill's athleticism masked it for a couple years, but these last 2 seasons we have not been as good at nailing the fade route (maybe some of that is QB play, but I don't think so).

Well, if they wanted to, next year they could go with Sebastian Smith, Malik Rodriguez, and Jordan Reid at WR, plus Mangen and Morgan at TE, and line up 6'3", 6'3", 6'3", 6'5", and 6'6". (Does any team have 5 DB's tall enough to cover those guys??) Ohio has more height now than it's had in recent years, by far, so height itself isn't something I worry about in the receiving corps. As I said, at DB, yes, there I worry about it.
So where would you put Cochran in this lineup.  Frankly I worry more about vertical vs actual height..

We all saw Cochran go up and make several catches over top of DB's this year thus resulting in his 19 plus yards per catch avg.  Imagine what that number could have been if he had not had to stop and come back for so many of those catches.

It looks like with the three receivers added this year, next year the receiving corps will be (give or take additions/subtractions of walkons):
(possibly Check Washington 5'11" 183 - New, True Freshman)
Herman Brunis 5'11" 165 - New, True Freshman
Robbier Walker 5'8" 165 - New, True Freshman
Andrew Meyer 6'1"190 - New, True Freshman
Spencer Schnell 5'9" 165 - XFer, Redshirt Freshman
Brendon Cope 6'2" 185 - Redshirt Freshman
Cedric Brown 6'0" 183 - Redshirt Freshman
Jerrid Marhefka 5'11" - Redshirt Freshman walkon
Jake Johnson 5'11" 170 - Redshirt Freshman walkon
Max Corcoren 5'11" 185 - Redshirt Freshman walkon
Skylar Schwarzel 5'6" 160 - Redshirt Freshman walkon
Justin Wyatt 6'1" 186 - Redshirt Freshman
Sebastian Smith 6'3" 190 - True Sophomore
Randy Stites 6'0" 175 - Redshirt Sophomore walkon
Jordon Reid 6'3" 200 - Redshirt Sophomore
Malik Rodriquez 6'3" 200 - Redshirt Sophomore
Cameron Wilson 6'2" 190 -  Redshirt Sophomore - 3 Star xfer from Iowa??
Ian Dixon 5'7" 170 - Redshirt Junior walkon
Kawmae Sawyer 6'0" 194 - Redshirt Junior walkon
Grant Venham 6'3" 210 - Redshirt Junior
Landon Smith 6'0" - True Senior
Chase Cochran 6'2" - Redshirt Senior

There are several at 6'3" (S. Smith, Rodriguez, Venham, Reid) and a couple others at 6'2" (Cope, Cochran, Wilson).

There are tall tight ends with Mason Morgan at 6'6, Troy Mangen at 6'5", but from the WR slot you'll have to rely on leaping ability.

Speed, cutting ability, leaping talent, hands, whatever it takes.  Do it to it on the field.  Also block well--which our 'ceivers seem to generally do.

Monroe, not sure if you saw L.C.'s link to an article with video about Connor Brown. Form your own impressions. My impression is the upside for Connor is big. Not right away, but, as an investment I believe dividends will be received after two years in the system. See the link.
