I don't know what to think about these playing tackle football at 8 years old. I for sure didn't like the non-helmet part of the video.
I hate to be negative here, but I'm just wondering what everybody else reaction is to this.

i think you have to take this with a grain of salt... I mean... look at the competition. It's like he was playing against a bunch of 8 year olds.

An adult/coach/trainer that stands in front of a camera and announces that he as the "best 8 year-old player in the country" is one of the saddest statements about the current youth sports in America and the adults that feel they are "leading" and "building" young men.  He's a pimp.

DJ was terrific for the 'Cats.  Wasn't he a true freshman when, at about 5'10 and 165 lbs, he started for us in columbus vs. osu?  Just wonderful to watch.

Jon Greenberg of ESPN Chicago is great. He somehow manages to throw at least one OU reference into every article he writes it seems like.

Great article.  Very interesting to read what Dontrell had to say about his jr and sr years.  I hope he picks up the phone and calls Grobe and Solich.  Dontrell was a leader on the field; I'd love to see how he'd do as a coach in college.
