I note that Scout.com has renamed the Ohio Recruiting page. It no longer is ScoutOhio, but instead is ScoutOhioU.

You don't want Scout to confuse all of those Buckeye fans who think Ohio is the same as Ohio State, do you?

Miami with 5 recruits already and 3 are 3* guys!  They appear to be on the comeback trail.  And, doing it the way I like with a bunch of big O-linemen types.  Ugh, I hate to say this...

And look at WMU again!  A ton of signees with 6 3* guys.

Lest I forget Toledo with 3 3* guys already.

Wonder why we are so far behind?

Well, numbers dictate this class will be small. Given this I expect the coaches to be very selective about who they bring in. There may be more JUCOs in the works or transfers. The turnover of coaches may have broken some ties with athletes lined up for commitment. Patience, I am sure will be rewarded.  However, I am sure the recruits will fit coach Solich's mold for Ohio football, which takes more than stars to fit.

Let me re-post this table from last year:
By June   Jul     Aug    Sept    Oct     Nov      Dec    Jan     Feb
2005         0           0         0         0          0         0          0        20        6
2006         0           0         0         0          0         3          1          9        6
2007         0           0         0         1          1         1          4          5        9
2008         0           0         0         0          0         0          9          2        9
2009         0           0         0         2          0         3          2          3      11
2010         0           2         1         2          1         0          0          3        7
2011         2           2         3         0          0         0          0          4        5
2012         0           0         0         4          1         1          4          5        4
2013         1         10
2014         5 .         8        3
2015         1

Depending on whether you think scoutingohio.com is right, Ohio may already have 2 verbals, but at a minimum they have one. Ohio isn't running at an unusual pace. If they would get 4 more recruits over the next 40 days or so, they would be at the same pace as last year.  Miami and WMU are both doing very well, and it's to their credit, but its more a case where they are ahead than that Ohio is behind.

[QUOTE=Bcat2]...There may be more JUCOs in the works or transfers. .....

That would surprise me. That would mean that the class 5 years from now would be smaller still. I was thinking there would be no JUCO's at all, at least, not unless a prior recruit like Murray or Clark who already had been committed to was available.

Now that we have the IPF, what do we lack vs every other MAC school?  Yet, how many other MAC schools have won the conference championship since we last won it?
