Born and raised in Ohio....apparently had an outstanding camp here....we must  have won him over then.....as many have said once we get them here we have an outstanding chance of landing them.

Originally committed to Marshall? It doesn't matter what happens to the rest of the recruits. Could all be espn 150 commits , but this is the best recruit.

Have the heard boards gone into melt down mode over this one?  Losing on the field and recruiting battles!

I don't always steal other team's recruits...but when I do...they're from Marshall.

I really doubt that Marshall cares about this loss. They have a WR recruit who is ranked # 137 in nation by ESPN who is 6'1" and 223 pounds. They'll do okay

Rivals has Marshall with 3 other WR commits

I presume that is correct. His film did not impress the recruiting services much, so he presumably got the offer because of an outstanding camp.

Let's hope he turns out as well as the other WR that flipped to Ohio a few years back, from Akron, Taylor Price.

Is that guy a qualifier though? Marshall's top 5-6 recruits every year that gets them those high ratings in the services are not full qualifiers. I'll take the less highly rated guy that can commit to a program for 4-5 years.

That's because he had just come from his scheduled trip to Marshall! I can say this because my two oldest children were born in West Virginia. I often joke with my wife (who never wears shoes when the weather is warm, unless she has to) that her aversion to shoes is why she birthed two children in the Mountain State.

Finally . . . Go Marshall! ;-) [Except when they play OHIO, of course]

Ted, how can Kyle sign his letter already? Isn't football signing day in February? Have I missed something?

Kyle will graduate HS this month and begin classes at Ohio in January. Gets him involved early. Freshmen who do this gain time in the program, get an extra spring practice and usually contribute earlier.

Not that it matters this year but early enrollees count against the previous year's recruiting class #'s. In years where you have a large class and some defections/injuries this can be very important since all teams are limited to 25 signees a year.
