24 hours to go. Make your predictions here.

Imma say:

-16 Scholarship Athletes signed by the end of the day tomorrow
-4 Scholarship Athletes on Ted's list hold out for a little bit
-We lose one of the linebackers we thought we were getting
-We get 2 preferred walk-ons on the D line we hadn't heard of before

I think there will be 2 new players who aren't on the list we have right now and 2 players on the list who don't show.

I predict that our incoming defensive backs will not get the respect they deserve from the class of 71.

I predict that with the spread of social media, combined with four recruiting services, the day will eventually come when we actually have it right come signing day, and there are no surprises. Will this be the year? I don't know, but I think we're very close. I'm going that we get no more surprises tomorrow, other than that Alders doesn't sign.

There are already 4 players enrolled. Add to them 18 more Freshmen, and we're done.

I also predict some will claim this is the best class yet, and others will say it's just not good enough. I predict it will end up ranked by most services at about 5th or 6th in the MAC, behind WMU, NIU, Miami, and perhaps CMU and Toledo.

Hey Optimist, at least three of these guys are 3 star types. So, you probably don't like them :) but I do. Then again, we'll just have to see how they pan out since none of the recruiting services are any good at rating MAC players!

Truth be told, I think this is a much better class ON PAPER than most of the recent ones but we will see on the field two or three years down the road! I really hate to see Miami's class rated so high:( Then there are still Toledo, NIU, CMU, WMU and Balls that all appear to have good classes too. At least we aren't Akron!

Seeing Miami higher isn't what hurts, it's that they were about the only school that beat Ohio head-on-head, and three of their six highest ranked recruits were ones that Ohio had offered, Bahl, Allen, and Leever, while Ohio beat them only on Hagen. In fairness, Miami has been so bad, that the recruits may have a better chance of playing sooner at Miami.

It isn't surprising to see NIU, WMU, and Toledo with good classes. They always seem to have good classes. The surprise, to me at least, is how good the class it at CMU. The odd thing is that they don't even have a head coach. How can they excite the players? How can they keep the recruits they got verbals from>? Will they have some late defections?

What? No one predicted that a 4-star would flip to Ohio at the last minute?

Glad to be wrong about that one. Being such early commits, I thought one of Cloud or Glasco would waiver and flip to elsewhere.

Perhaps one will get a look at RB.

The big question for me every year is once they arrive on campus, what house will the Sorting Hat place them in? I fully expect Jeff Christian to end up in Gryffindor.

The surprise to me was not a single running back in the bunch--but perhaps Bcatsquared is right and someone signed will actually be moved to RB.

My guess would have been that we'd have learned that a QB not named Vick has switched positions or is moving on. Perhaps either Sprague or Windham have a little Julian Edelman in their bones and could be guys that know how to run a route and get to the creases in the zone with their QB experience of reading defenses.

I think if they just had 1 or two running backs that were good, they would have put an emphasis on the position because you really need more than two solid running backs, just in case.

We already know OUellette can play, and he's here for 3 more years. That's one. I'm also a believer in Dorian Brown, who, if he gets away from the fumbles he had early last year, can also be something special, and he has 2 more years. That's two. Then we have Papi White, and Maleek Irons, both of whom have 4 years left, and I have little doubt that both can play. That brings us to four.

I didn't count Daz or Bo Hardy because both will be Seniors, and when you are recruiting you need to look 2 years out. Four is enough, though, and since the coaches weren't particularly worried about adding a running back, that tells me they have confidence in all four.

Ohio did originally have a RB in this class but he decommitted.

But, was Williams being recruited by Ohio as a running back, or as a cornerback? He'll be playing CB for Northwestern, so either is possible, and we don't always guess correctly what the coaches have in mind.

Class still has a RB. Check out this video highlight of OUr top recruit. Give him a year to add the freshman 15 and he might resemble a #33 that played on the left coast. Not sure Albin has the juice to get him from Dixon.

The other services considered Ball to be a WR, but 247Sports rated him as the 25th best APB (All-purpose Back) in the country. His father was a running back in the NFL, I believe.

Ball is a WR and should not see the field as a running back when we have Ouellette, Irons, White, etc. His junior year, he had a decent QB who could get him the ball. The kid ended up at UC as an athlete. The QB at Princeton this year was.... not good. Could not throw for distance or velocity at all. The only way they could get the ball in their best player's hands was to play him at running back.

Not sure I would call Ball OUr top recruit....top 3 for sure. Here's my top 3 :

1. DB Deontai Williams

2. DL Sam McKnight

3. WR Elijah Ball

That's not saying I don't like the other DB's and other position players. The DB's should see the field first because of need and special team play. I'd like to see them move Sayles inside and use McKnight as an end rusher. Joe Anderson looks good as a road grader.... Things are looking up.

The more I read, the more excited I get about this recruiting class!
