Per His Twitter account Keith Key (@keithsuav) from Bishop Hartley has committed to the Bobcats. His highlight tape shows him as an OLB but I think he's going to end up a TE. 4.61 40 at 6'-4" is pretty good assuming it's at least semi-accurate.

Another diamond in the rough type I guess. Seems like we're just trying to fill openings at this point.

Unknown to every service but 247sports but he is unranked there.
Yahoo shows the commitment as of today.

Again, an athlete who appears very well put together. Not sure about ship or gray-shirt.

His speed and size certainly make him a player with potential. He moves very well for a guy that big. I am inclined to think that you are right that TE is the spot that might best use that potential. I could also see him at DE.

Per the Rivals page, he had offers from Indiana State, North Dakota, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island.

Edit - Considering that Michael Goerge just tweeted out 20 faces, and that this guy was reported today, I'd guess he's a scholarship guy.

Could be mistaken, but I believe the "Key" surname has some history with Hartley. Seems to me, one went on to play at Michigan. Not sure if this relates to our recruit.
Perhaps someone can correct me or confirm.

I'm surprised he didn't have more interest at OLB. Based on his hightlights, he seems to be a disruptive pass rusher and he has a good combination of size and speed. Not that those same traits won't work at TE...

OLB at the Division I level is mostly pass defense, so often the guys that play OLB at the next level were guys that played Safety in high school. In Ohio's Cover-4, OLB takes even more speed than most OLB spots because they have to cover the wide runs, the flat, and a very broad pass zone. I could see him at DE, though.

OLB means he likes contact. With his size and speed he may be a FB or H-Back opportunity.

It says that he has two stars on rivals. I see this guy as being a red shirt this year but after his redshirt year being an impact player for the bobcats. He has only played this year and this is his first year playing outside linebacker ever (hence why he is listed as a tight end all over the internet) Also when he went to the rivals invitational camp he got ranked top performers there for tight end!! Big future for this guy.

Ah, thanks. That explains a lot. I note that there are no Junior year highlights on HUDL, and that explains why. That also would be why he wasn't heavily recruited, and why he came to the attention of the coaches late.
