Possibly a new commit yesterday. Coach Williams had an in-home visit with him on 12/12. 6'-6" - 330 Lb. Unknown to almost all the recruiting services. Twitter profile says he's a full qualifier and has 4 years to play 3.

Here's his comment on Instagram/Twitter after....

"So blessed to have received a full ride scholarship to The University of Ohio! Had a great in home visit with Coach Williams. GO BOBCATS"

Again, I find it interesting and surprising that they are recruiting offensive tackles from Juco. I'm inclined to think that this means that one or more of the existing linemen may be leaving the program, probably from among the players who have had injury issues. The ones with recent injury issues would seem to be Everhart, Gibbons, Wood and Murdock (I think). I have no inside information that any of these are leaving, it's just a wild guess to explain why we might want JUCO offensive linemen.

As for his film, I have some doubts about the tackle-eligible play at :41. The wide receiver appears to be lined up on the line of scrimmage, not in the backfield.

This guy has three years of playing time left, so that's unlike a lot of JUCO guys who often have just two.

Still, there must be information about the depth chart we don't know. Perhaps he is being recruited for a special road grader set to please Monroe. This young man at H back behind McCray with fellow recruit McKnight at RB. Not seriously though. I would doubt his first step is quick enough for H back. More likely there will be some loss or losses to the OL that we are not seeing.

You don't think he's being recruited as a TE?

I added Wood to the list of injured linemen who were coming back (or not) from injury. He played well as a true Freshman, so I hope he's not gone, but he certainly is one of the linemen who has been out with injury.

I was hoping you omitted Wood based upon certain knowledge of his full recovery. Well, back to waiting. Fortunately I have other distractions to fill time until spring.

Nope, sorry. I guess we'll just have to watch the roster, and when Russell drops off, see who else is missing. We do know that with only 13 Seniors, that they can't take 17+ Freshmen without some others dropping off.

There is always going to be some attrition. That is why your prediction of signing a 14 team class for this year was unrealistic.
